It’s approaching the time of year when people traditionally look back over what they’ve accomplished in the past 12 months, and anticipate what the coming year might have in store. It’s also, given the cold weather and shortened days, the ideal time to get together in a convivial atmosphere – to have a good old shindig, in other words. It’s these elements, as well as our steadfast dedication to Scottish arts and culture, that inform The List’s annual Hot 100 and the Hot 100 Party.
The Hot 100 recognises the individuals, organisations and venues who have made their mark on the Scottish cultural landscape in 2012, and who look set to continue doing so in 2013. Whether they’re Turner Prize-winning artists, Mercury-nominated musicians, superstar chefs, arena-straddling comedians or talented fi lm and theatremakers, they’re gathered together and recognised as leading fi gures in Scotland’s arts community. The Hot 100 Party distils this celebration of Scottish talent into a one-night-only celebration, to be held at the Arches on Tuesday 11 December. The party will be a feast for the eyes and ears, with a variety of performances from a handful of our Hot 100 nominees. Both the Hot 100 and the party programme are being kept under wraps for now – suffice it to say, we’re planning a night to remember. WHEN IS OUR HOT 100 PARTY?
