processions to street parties with live music and i reworks, Scotland has got it all!

However you like to ‘bring in the bells’, there is something to suit every fancy from one of the world’s biggest street parties in Edinburgh to a serene Highland get-away.

Now in its 20th year, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay promises to kick off 2013 in some style. The three day Festival starts with a cast of thousands enjoying the Torchlight Procession on Sunday 30 December. The celebrations continue with the World Famous Street Party and Concert in the Gardens on Monday 31 December, culminating in a packed day of family fun on 1 January. Hogmanay Revellers will enjoy the very best in live music from Simple Minds, The View, The Maccabees, Reverend and the Makers, Admiral Fallow and Lau, together with REW1ND3R the biggest party . . .in years, which will turn Princes Street into the world’s largest dancel oor.

The evening comes to a dramatic close in the spectacular Midnight Fireworks from the ramparts of Edinburgh Castle and the world’s largest rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

Glasgow and Stirling will also host not-to-be- missed Hogmanay shindigs. This year Stirling welcomes The Proclaimers to see out 2012 against the magnii cent backdrop of Stirling Castle while families can bid a fond farewell to 2012 at Glasgow’s Hogmanayday! ceilidh - a traditional celebration with the best music, food and drink and lots of family fun! A festive favourite, Open Air in the Square runs alongside the Stonehaven Hogmanay Fireball Celebrations, offering various family friendly events through the day with an evening music concert headlined by Red Hot Chilli Pipers with the Fireball events shown on big screens. Inverness will once again host the much loved, free Hogmanay concert. The party begins in the afternoon and welcomes revellers of all ages - hosted by Craig Hill, Inverness’s Red Hot Highland Fling welcomes Big Country, Treacherous Orchestra and Skerryvore to the stage.
