It now belongs to a trust established in his name, and features important work by major figures such as Lucian Freud, Henry Moore, Sean Scully and Howard Hodgkin. LAST CHANCE Wilhelmina Barns-Graham: A Scottish Artist in St Ives Until Sun 17 Feb. Exhibition marking the centenary of the distinguished artist. LAST CHANCE John Clerk of Eldin (1728–1812) Until Sun 3 Feb. John Clerk of Eldin was a true product of the Scottish Enlightenment. A successful businessman, he made enough money to devote himself to art and science. He went on geological tours with James Hutton, became an expert on naval tactics (publishing the first major handbook in English on the subject) and was also an accomplished artist. OLIVER BRAID: SNORLAX BEANBAG Glasgow School of Art graduate Oliver Braid explores the impact of art-making on human relationships and the impact of human relationships on art-making in his new show, the enigmatically titled Snorlax Beanbag. The week-long exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Glasgow-based curatorial practice It’s Our Playground and Glasgow-based artist and curator Paul Kindersley, whose YouTube channel ‘The British Are Cumming’ has received over a quarter of a million hits.
