WIN TICKETS TO

BREAKOUT SCOTLAND

For the first time ever, The List are putting on a live music event featuring the best up and coming music and we want you to come along.

Breakout Scotland will feature performances from Alarm Bells, who formed last year from the ashes of Glasgow ‘fight-pop’ band Dananananaykroyd as well as live music from jangly guitar-poppers Bwani Junction and scuzzy garage- rock girls Honeyblood. Ally McCrae (presenter of BBC Radio 1’s Introducing . . . in Scotland) will also be DJing.

This event is a result of a freshly- formed partnership between The List and Breakout, the London-based music industry event. Breakout have been booking unsigned and newly- signed bands to play showcase nights in London for the past three years, and are excited to be branching out and moving north of the border. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to Breakout Scotland, just tell us:

WIN TICKETS TO TAKIN’ OVER THE ASYLUM

The themes of hope and joy in the fragile beauty of the human heart run through this hilarious and profoundly moving adaptation of Donna Franceschild’s cult 90’s BBC TV series set in Glasgow. When Ready Eddie McKenna, Soul Survivor and double glazing salesman, arrives to reinvigorate St Jude’s defunct hospital radio station, he turns more than the ramshackle station upside down. The whisky drinking would-be DJ encounters 19 year-old bipolar Campbell, schizophrenic electronic genius Fergus, OCD Rosalie and the elusive self-harming Francine.

Fighting against illness and negative perceptions, Eddie and the patients of St Jude’s strive for their dreams to be accepted. We have six pairs of tickets to give away for the preview on Wed 13 Mar 7.45pm. To be in with the chance of winning a pair, just enter our competition.
