FAT GOTH, FATHERSON AND ROMAN NOSE, PART OF WIDE DAYS

Arguably the most popular Scottish band not yet tied to a record label, Fatherson have been flourishing for the last two years, impressive considering they’ve yet to release a debut album.

In a simultaneous trio of free showcase gigs courtesy of music convention Wide Days, Fatherson join Dundee’s weird scuzz-rock chaps Fat Goth and the severely-underrated-and-undeniably-terrifying electro outfit Roman Nose in Edinburgh next month.

The non-for-profit Wide Days prides itself in showcasing the latest in unsigned talent, and have also

arranged The Pleasance and Sneaky Pete’s to play host to Washington Irving/Siobhan Wilson and Garden of Elks/Saint Max and The Fanatics respectively. For those who have already bought tickets, entry is included in the convention’s delegate passes (see page

82 for details of how to win a pair). Everyone else can head over to widedays.com to catch Fatherson headline the Electric Circus. If it’s still standing after Roman Nose’s set, that is. Get free tickets at widedays-electriccircus.eventbrite.com. Wide Days, various venues, Edinburgh, Thu 11 and Fri 12 Apr, see widedays.com for full details.
