WILLY RÖMER: LIFE IN THE CITY OF BERLIN Until the Nazis closed it down in 1935, Willy Römer ran one of the Weimar Republic’s leading photo agencies. It meant he was a round to chart the terrible rise to power of Hitler’s forces. This international touring exhibition brings together images from 1919 to 1933 not only of events such as the November Revolution and the workers’ strikes, but also of daily Berlin life.
