Hugh Laurie and The Copper Bottom Band will embark on a major UK tour this summer. This tour will follow the release of his upcoming second album Didn’t It Rain, which sees Hugh Laurie depart the sounds of New Orleans, as he follows the trajectory of the blues upstream and into the American heartland. This tour will see them perform at The Playhouse in Edinburgh on 22 June 2013 and we have tickets to give away. Hugh’s shows will be complemented with the heart and accomplishment of his supporting musicians the Copper Bottom Band who also appear on the new album. The line-up will include Piltch (bass), Henry (horns), Lea (trombone), McLain (vocals) and Moreno (vocals) – and is completed by Herman Matthews (drums) and Mark Goldenberg (guitars).
Having earned widespread critical acclaim for their past shows which celebrated and revived classic material from the world of NOLA blues, Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band will be a great show, not to be missed.
