The 9th edition of the Edinburgh Art Fair takes place from the 15–17 November at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. Original paintings, sculpture, glass and ceramics from hundreds of artists from around the world are all available to buy while printmaking workshops, artist talks, demonstrations and painting classes will be ongoing throughout the weekend. With a crèche and a bar and restaurant, the fair provides everything for everyone who loves art.
The List have 25 pairs of tickets to the preview evening on Thursday 14th November from 6.30pm - 9.30pm. This year includes events in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Dunfermline. Featuring theatre, poetry, music, talks, debates, discussions, tours, dinners – gosh, they’ve even got sweary words, drink, comedy and gory murders. This is our history alive on our streets, bars, cafés and comedy clubs. The Flyting - In the glittering court of James IV, two poets squared up to take the other guy out in verse. In rhetoric, verse and crudeness William Dunbar and Walter Kennedy took each other apart. For the third year, they are bringing that incredible battle of the stanzas back – in a new home, the fabulous surroundings of the City Chambers.

Comedian Chris Ramsey performs as part of The Pleasance Sessions on 23 October with his latest offering The Most Dangerous Man on Saturday Morning Television and we are offering you the chance to be there. Returning to Edinburgh after his sold out run of shows during the Fringe, catch him in the intimate Pleasance Theatre for one night only. Chris joins the likes of Abandoman, The Pictish Trail, Conquering Animal Sound and Three Blind Wolves on the Pleasance Sessions three week long line up as Edinburgh Uni Students Association flaunt the wonderful venue with a series of hand crafted nights until the end of October.

Hosted by Radio 1’s Ally McCrae, RBS Museum Lates: Mary, Queen of Scots takes place on 8 Nov and will feature a headline performance from upbeat Glaswegian indie pop sensations Blood Relatives. Support comes from DJ Eclair Fifi (aka Clair Stirling), who has hosted BBC Radio 1’s In New DJs We Trust and is a regular at the LuckyMe Rinse FM residency. Expect the return of all the highlights you know and love – Silent Disco, face- painting, art installations, photo booth, animal handling and more – alongside some regal Renaissance action from costumed courtiers and the famous Scottish monarch herself.
