AISLA STANIFORTH The thing we like most about Christmas in the restaurant is how happy everyone is: the festive atmosphere and the fact that people just get on and enjoy their food and worry about calories in January. The thing I like least is taking down the decorations and I always seem to be off that day!! (Yes, I do do ) the rota).
A ANNA CHRISTOPHERSON I I love that people spend so much t time with their friends and family and British people are really good at socialising and spending time together. I do have a love / hate relationship with lighting, though. I love beautiful stylish Christmas stars but I can’t stand when it is overdone with glowing reindeers, blinking snowmen and fake glitter!
E ROISIN & MATTHIAS LLORENTE Christmas Eve in bia bistrot is our favourite night of the year: it’s full with all our regulars and their families. Is just great craic and we don’t even feel homesick as we know them all so well now. Cleaning up cracker mess, especially if there’s glitter involved!
PAUL MCKENNA & IVAN STEIN We love the camaraderie: in the restaurant trade we work extremely long hours and after a while you bond like family. On the l ip side, we don’t get to see as much of our loved ones as we would like, which makes having Christmas off to spend it with the family even more important.
