After last issue’s share- a-thon, we thought we’d highlight the list.co.uk users who are a little more taciturn in their contributions. Leanne felt sufficiently moved by our Monsters University review to write ‘my sister has seen it’, while ecurb cryptically added the words ‘the wind beneath my wings’ to our event listing for the Eglinton Parkrun. Our inaugural List Award for Services to Brevity, though, goes to Mons Kha, who delivered the verdict ‘it good’ to the sadly under-appreciated and oft critically overlooked Big Tits Zombie 3D. Much more effusive
in her outpourings was Elaine, who had this to say about the Falkirk Fireworks Display: ‘it should be banned,,all fireworks as well,,,think of the poor animals,,,it is disguisting,,animals have rights aswell,,,why do we celebrate guy fawkes, he tried to blow up the houses of parliment,,,does that mean,,we should start to celebrate, other things being blown up,,,ban it,,,ban it,,ban it,,.’
On a more positive note, we were happy to receive a comment
from author Sam Jordison, whose slightly cynical Crap Towns was referenced in our review for John Grinrod’s much more optimistic Concretopia: ‘Hello! As the author of Crap Towns I just want to say that I actually love some modern and brutalist architecture and think it should be preserved. It’s the neglect that bothers me as much as anything.’ Mmmmm, makes you all warm and fluffy inside, doesn’t it?

Brilliant article, and great to see what a wealth of spoken word there is in Edinburgh alone! It was wonderful to feel so welcomed when we arrived, and we hope to work even closer with the Scottish spoken word scene in 2014. Comment posted by Fay Roberts, PBH Free Fringe. Great article about what's happening in Edinburgh, but might I add: Dundee has had a monthly spoken word open mic night, Hotchpotch, which has been in rude health for three years now.
