JACK NICHOLSON There are 14 films left in the Filmhouse’s Jack Nicholson retrospective which surveys the charismatic actor’s five-decade-long career. The Last Detail (Thu 12 Dec) is a funny but heart-wrenching story of one man’s last week of freedom, while John Huston’s dark mafia comedy Prizzi’s Honor (Mon 23 Dec) sees Nicholson take centre stage with Kathleen Turner. You can also admire him as the original Joker in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman (Sun 29 Dec), or head along to one of his more recent works such as About Schmidt (Sat 28–Mon 30 Dec) or The Pledge (Wed 29 Jan & Thu 30 Jan).
