PHOENIX The Gallic pop sensations are about to play the Barras. Hard to believe that it was almost fifteen years ago that singer Thomas Mars (who now happens to be Mr Sofia Coppola) first invited bandmates Deck d’Arcy and Chris Mazzalai round to his place in the suburbs of Paris for a jam. Five albums on, with one added band member, and stadium popstar status achieved (see performances at Primavera festival, Madison Square Garden, the Hollywood Bowl, and T in the Park for evidence), the French Phoenix is still flying high.
