THE CELTS IN SEVILLE Tony Roper is best known as the author of The Steamie and Jamesie in Rab C Nesbitt, but he is also a lifelong Celtic fan. The story of his team’s adventure in reaching the 2003 UEFA Cup Final which led to the fans being called ‘the best in the world’ by UEFA is appropriately revived in the year of the Commonwealth Games, when sport and art are connecting across Glasgow. A lively, playful and funny take on the adventures of Scottish fans in the sun, it celebrates the friendlier face of football. Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, until Sat 12 Apr.
