‘Veni, veni, Emmanuel’ Originally written for trail-blazing Scottish percussionist Evelyn Glennie, James MacMillan’s advent concerto ‘O Come, O Come Emmanuel’ now falls into the astonishing hands of Edinburgh-born percussionist Colin Currie, who has been a proud and long-time champion for one of the most successful concerto scores of the late 20th century.
