HITLISTED RESTAURANTS HITLISTS 2014

When our latest Eating & Drinking Guide was launched last month, it marked our 21st year producing an annual guide covering all the places worth knowing about in Glasgow and Edinburgh. This year we covered over 950 venues from coffee stalls to upmarket restaurants and encompassed cuisine as varied as Korean, Argentinian, South African and Scandinavian.

The fast-changing food and drink scene isn’t just marked by the remarkable number ber of new openings we include each year around 140 were in the 20th edition, and We another 150 in this year’s guide but also the way existing restaurants develop. We make a point of making a fresh visit to every restaurant included in the guide to ensure our research is as up-to-date as possible, and at every venue members of our team of experienced local reviewers eat their meals incognito. Combined with o our longstanding experience of the dining scene it means we’re very well placed to e make objective choices about the eating experiences that truly stand out from the crowd. Our reviewers are asked to pick out the most memorable meals from the venues

In comparing like-with-like among the cuisine categories that make up the guide, we’re able to give our readers knowledgeable and independently judged recommendations of the best the local scene has to offer.
