HITLISTED RESTAURANTS HITLISTS: EDINBURGH AWARDS
The Best Newcomer Awards in Edinburgh were awarded to pop-up- turned-permanent Asian fi xture Ting Thai Caravan and cosmopolitan Euro start-up The Atelier, while reborn half- pub, half-bistro Blackfriars swiped the capital’s New Bar Award. Our judges also chose to highlight the work of chef and restauranteur Frederick Berkmiller, who both championed locally-sourced ingredients in French cuisine at his L’Escargot restaurants and spearheaded the Budding Chefs exchange programme.
