We launched this year’s Guide with special events in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, at The Scottish Cafe in the National Gallery of Scotland and The Restaurant at Blythswood Square respectively. A buzzing evening of chat, canapes and more than a little networking, the launch parties give us a chance to see fi rst-hand how the award-winners and hitlisters react to the good news (and for them, a valid excuse to take a night off from the hard work of earning those Hitlist slots in the fi rst place). The events wouldn’t be so successful without the help of a variety of organisations, so we’d like to offer a large thanks to drink sponsors Villa Maria and Birra Moretti (the latter of whom supplied a selection of delicious beer-infused canapes).
