Optimo’s continuing partnership with The East End Social delivers a stellar revue show that will see the Barrowland Ballroom transformed into a club bacchanal on Sun 25 May. The event - which kicks off at 5pm - will include unmissable live performances from Nordic electro seducer Todd Terje and throbbing hypno- groove pedagogues Golden Teacher plus DJ sets from Glasgow’s inestimable Optimo (JD Twitch and JG Wilkes), Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO and Beats In Space DJ Tim Sweeney.

Boldly mixing established, emerging and retro artists with top DJs playing until 5am, the Wickerman Festival is one of Scotland’s leading independent music festivals. This year’s hotly anticipated line-up is topped with British rap superstar Dizzee Rascal and Scottish pop-rock band Del Amitri who will headline the Summerisle Stage. The Feeling, Alabama 3, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, The Zombies, Big Country, Finding Albert, Model Aeroplanes and more are set to give electrifying performances in 2014.

Returning to the capital on Sat 24 & Sun 25 May, the Stramash boasts an incredibly impressive selection of whiskies including the award-winning whisky liqueur Drambuie, who will be marking their debut appearance with ‘Breaking Drambuie’ sessions – inspired in theme by the popular Breaking Bad TV series – designed to showcase the vital components that come together to create their renowned liquid.
