Isle of Tiree Tiree Music Festival An Talla, 01879 220520. Times vary. £tbc. Folk and trad music are the stars at this festival, which was voted Best Small Festival at the Scottish Event Awards in 2012 and 2013. The tiny Hebridean island, nicknamed the ‘Hawaii of the North’, plays host to a weekend of genre-spanning sounds as well as family activities and fringe events. Last year’s line-up included Capercaillie, Roddy Hart & the Lonesome Fire, Skerryvore and Washington Irving.
