PETER’S YARD The rise and rise of a Scandi bakery 2015 sees Swedish bakers Peter’s Yard developing their operations around Edinburgh. Two of their current locations have undergone a major revamp only the Stockbridge café remains unchanged while two more outlets have been added to the stable as the outi t rebrand and expand. A new bakery shop, Söderberg, is due to open on Queensferry Street in February, with the Quartermile takeaway also taking the new name following its makeover. The original Peter’s Yard Café on Middle Meadow Walk has had an overhaul too, with the in-house bakery moving to bigger premises in nearby Lister Square. This will supply the other four outlets with breads, cakes and pastries (and their famous Kardemummabullar, or cardamom buns). The new Lister Square site will also be home to Pizza at the Bakery, where you’ll be able to pick up sourdough pizza whole or by the slice, with sit-in dining as well as takeaway.
