CHOSEN BY FUNBOX’S ANYA SCOTT-RODGERS Stuart Mitchell

Slightly biased here, but on a personal basis I am so excited to see my husband Stuart Mitchell’s show Dealt a Bad Hand, which is touring around Scotland and a bit beyond from June. He’s a stand-up comedian who debuted his hour at the Edinburgh Fringe last year to full houses and great reviews. I never got to see it as we usually work opposite hours, so by the time I’m coming home from my shows during the day he’s just heading out to his gigs. We both have very different audiences but in a way they are just as judgemental and vocal if they don’t like you (I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been heckled by a five-year-old) and I was so proud of his success last year. Apparently I’ve provided a fair bit of the material too . . . Stuart Mitchell: Dealt a Bad Hand, touring until Thu 13 Jul; Funbox: Highland Fling, touring Sat 3 Jun–Sun 29 Oct; Funbox: Underwater Adventure, touring Sat 10 Jun–Sun 8 Oct; Funbox at the Fringe, Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh, Mon 7 & Tue 8 Aug.
