THE FIESTA X FOLD A brand new festival brought to you by the team behind The West End Fiesta in collaboration with the Nile Rodger’s Freak Out Let’s Dance Party. The event features Nile Rodgers and CHIC (playing both days) plus a host of Nile’s friends and collaborators for a series of musical performances including Earth, Wind & Fire and the Pointer Sisters (Sat); Emeli Sande, Goldfrapp, Laura Mvula, Morcheeba and Ana Matronic (Sun). SUMMER NIGHTS Now in its i fth year, Summer Nights at Kelvingrove Bandstand’s 2018 acts span generations of music fans, and include Bryan Ferry, First Aid Kit, Imelda May, Fleet Foxes, OMD, Jimmy Cliff, Van Morrison and Roddy Frame. Kelvingrove Bandstand, Glasgow, Mon 30 Jul–Sat 11 Aug.

MUGSTOCK Boutique festival organised on a not-for-proi t basis, featuring music, food, drink, theatre, art, cabaret and ‘sciencey stuff.’ The lineup for 2018 includes Friday headliner Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5. Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie, Fri 27–Mon 30 Jul.

EDINBURGH SUMMER SESSIONS A brand new festival for Edinburgh’s festival season, Summer Sessions brings a host of music to Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens this August, including Tom Jones, Rag’n’Bone Man, Paloma Faith and Kasabian. GLASGOW SUMMER SESSIONS Kendrick Lamar headlines this annual end-of- summer highlight keep an eye out for more acts on the bill. Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, Fri 29 Aug.

ELECTRIC FIELDS The best local festival for rounding off a summer of fun. 2018’s lineup includes Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Lefti eld, James, Young Fathers, Teenage Fanclub, Idlewild, Ezra Furman, Baxter Dury, Shame, Ghostpoet, the Coral and Lady Leshurr. ELECTRIC FROG & PRESSURE RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL How else would you want to celebrate the bank holiday weekend in Glasgow? Riverside’s 2018 lineup is another belter, with Lefti eld (live), Four Tet, Sven Väth, Dixon, Fatima Yamaha, Green Velvet, Jackmaster, Joy Orbison, Len Faki, Dax J, Marcus Worgull, Richie Hawtin, Skream, and Slam all dropping in.
