Chinese New Year Edinburgh is the largest Chinese New Year celebration in Scotland. For the first time ever, a co-ordinated programme of special events and initiatives will take place across Scotland’s capital as locals and visitors celebrate together. Cultural highlights include Edinburgh’s Official Chinese New Year Concert at the Usher Hall, the Giant Lanterns of China at Edinburgh Zoo and the opening of the brand-new East Asia Gallery at the National Museum of Scotland. Local businesses in the city will also welcome visitors with everything from traditional red envelopes to bespoke cocktails.
