This is the first feature film that British film actor, editor and filmmaker Paul Spurrier has actually directed since 1998’s interestingly seedy tale of London urban despair, Underground (starring the late, great Ian Dury no less). A bloody, supernatural chiller about a young orphaned Thai girl who is taught the ways of magic by her grandmother, only to use those gifts unwiser in the big city when the old woman falls sick, P is shot in widescreen. A beautifully composed shot to the jugular.
