CARDINAL BURNS Sketch duo make a welcome return to where it all sort-of began I t was way back in the dry sands of historical time, 2009 to be precise, that Cardinal Burns first made their way into the public’s psyche. Their 2009 show in the titchy Pleasance Attic (where everyone from the little-known Katy Wix, Anna Crilly and Michael McIntyre had all trodden before them) was the moment where big things began to happen for Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns. We said this about their frenetic show: ‘As each sketch gets played out with such vim and verve, even the failure of a prop or the collapse of a wig only seems to boost the charm which they exude and the crowd never fail to adore them.’
