An initial seven figure sum spent on renovation gives you an

In the lighting repertoire there are 360 degree lasers. wave curtains. pin spots and harvesters which combine to give an impressive but not overpowerng display. Credit has to go to John McPhaiI in his design for the rig in conjunction with Studio Four in using the size of the place (1.000 seating capacity) to the lullest. A split level dance floor and two bars - one at which is 40 leet long — accommodate the paying customers. The ideal oi the venue — being that it is more than a place for dancing and drinking - is promoted with such events as a Young Designers' Exhibition on the 6th August and the staging ot Channel 4's Late Night Friday UK Late on the 27th August. The mock Greek decor with Ionic pillars. marble look statues and Hellenic plant pots add a certain sense at humour which can be felt amongst the punters but help to prevent it becoming yet another heavy drinking joint whichtothian Road can well do without. Its first Birthday Party on 31st July is being planned for celebrations and celebrities at an o.T.T. proportion.
