wigtown District CounCil is committed to the provision of an expanding Leisure and Recreation Programme. with an increasmg Arts and Entertainment Section, a new 263-seat theatre due to open and an active Youth Theatre
The successful applicant will therefore have a proven track record in venue programming. dealing with both amateur and professmnal artists and management. an up-tadate knowledge of arts management and experi- ence of Youth Theatre. and knowledge of technical and stage management matters A strong commitment to the arts is essential together with excellent communication skills and initiative to devise and lead participatory arts events within a wide range of community groups.
A formal qualification in arts administration or other relevant qualification. together with at least two years experience in arts management. is therefore con- Sidered deSirable. A clean current driving licence is required
The salary scale applicable to the post is £10,344 to £11241 per annum (AP2 Grade) with placing thereon
