Building on its existing commitment towards making Edinburgh a Child Friendly City, the District Council wants to appoint a Child Friendly Ofﬁcer.
The post will be on a two year contract. in the ﬁrst instance.
We are looking for someone who is a good team-builder. capa- ble of working with minimal supervision and to tight timescales. The individual appointed will have excellent communication skills and will have experience in working across internal/exter- nal boundaries. The successful applicant may come from a variety oI backgrounds but should be able to demonstrate experience of multi-agency working. Experience of project management is essential.
The understanding of. and commitment to. Child Friendly issues is obviously a requirement. Equally important is the abili. ty to enthuse and motivate individuals at all levels in the busi- ness. third/voluntary and statutory sectors.
