That Swing Thang. and The Swingettes. The ’Mr Wonderful' reference is probably to the great singers who have been his inspiration rather than him. but hey. with Craig. you can never be sure.

Bobby Wishart will switch from his usual tenor to baritone saxophone for this tribute to the ground-breaking Gerry Mulligan Quartet of the mid-50s. in which he omitted the customary chordal instrument (piano or guitar) and pioneered a two- horn front line. initially with Chet Baker. Wishart's an'angements will be played in suitably piano-free fashion by Tom McNiven (trumpet and llugelhorn). Mario Caribe (bass) and Alan Cosker (drums). while a guest vocalist is also promised.
