WENDY HOUSTON, one-time star of legendary physical theatre outfit DV8 and an accomplished performer in her own right, returns to Scotland this fortnight with her latest piece, Haunted, Daunted, Flaunted. This solo show sees Houston going back to basics after a period spent choreographing lavish pro- ductions for the likes of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Glyndbourne. Armed with novvt but her steely technique and considerable guts, Houston runs through three very different, but equally weird bite-sized sections. ’Haunted’ is one woman's confessional, a purging of old hurts, petty grudges and criminal acts, which wait for this is loosely based on the TV show Crimewatch UK. Equally kooky is ’Daunted', billed as a ’stand-up dance rou- tine' in which Houston‘s body becomes the punchline. Finally comes ’Flaunted', a blend of text, movement and humour which forms the epilogue. Houston has been round the dance-block a few times, but judging by this lot she has no

intention of easing the pace. (Ellie Carr)
