ASSISTANT to the RETAIL MANAGER

The National Galleries of Scotland operates three pemianent gallery shops and various temporary ticket and sales _ areas sem’cing a busy exhibition programme. Responsibilities will include managing a computerised accounts system, organising stall rotas, dealing with customer enquiries and liaising with printers and suppliers.

A creative forward thinker with an interest in specialist shops, you will have a reasonable knowledge of history of art and excellent communication and administration skills. You will also deputise for the Retail Manager and assist with buying and staff training.

PRESS & INFORMATION ASSISTANT

Working in this busy department you will be responsible for , providing secretarial and administrative support with enthusiasm and initiative. Strong organisational and computer skills are essential together with a friendly and outgoing manner. The ideal candidate will have a background in public relations, media or similar environment.

Salary for both posts will be in the region of £9,600 - £11,000
