Virgin and McEwan's Street Party passes
You must have a pass to enter the Street Party area (see orange zone on the map in centre spread) after 8pm on the night of 31 December. Those seeking admission without passes will be refused. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE ENORMOUS DEMAND, NO FURTHER PASSES ARE AVAILABLE. For those who do have a pass, access to the city centre is through one of the fourteen entrance and fifteen exit gates (indicated on the centre spread map).
Free bus services
Making sure you get home safely after the party and giving a whole new meaning to one for the road, those nice folk at McEwan’s have sponsored free buses, to be operated by City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian Councils, in the wee small hours of New Year’s Day. The buses leave from four stops , starting ’round about midnight.
