What like potato picking and cow milking? Nothing that strenu0us This day-long event shows how life was lived back in the good ol' days when there was no computerised machinery and you had to work the land with your own
fair hands.
So should I pack my wellies? Nope. this is a civilised affair. Expect craft demonstrations with weaving. lace-making and spinning as well as blacksmiths. dry stone dyking and falconry. You can even learn how to make a walking stick. watch a chainsaw carving demo or see an observation beehive.
Surely you can’t top that? Yes you can — there's loads more on offer. Machinist enthusrasts and novices alike can eye up all the vintage tractors and machinery on display or you can watch the Kittochside Open Sheepdog Trial if that's more your bag. A fun day out for all the family is ever there was one.
