The job

° To manage the editorial team

° To take responsibility for the

production of new titles and

reprints according to publication

schedule

° To maintain, develop and grow

list authors and illustrators

° To draw up and negotiate contracts

° To sell foreign rights for the

fiction list

The perSon

° .\ graduate with at least 3 years publishing experience preferably in children’s commissioning

° lixcellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

° Able to build, and maintain effective

relationships with authors and

° lixperienced, determined, and

energetic with entrepreneurial flair

Edinburgh Mediabase is looking to recruit a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to play a key role in an established arts organisation.

The role involves maintaining and developing a complete range of effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures, event management and day-to-day supervision of the centre.

The successful individual must have accounts/budget experience, a sound knowledge of Excel/Word, an ability to work on their own initiative and be an effective team player. An interest and knowledge of film and digital video making would be an advantage.

Closing date Wednesday 3rd August (12 noon) Interviews will be held on Monday 8th August.
