National Programme Outreach and Events Manager

£23,340 per annum, fixed term contract until 31st March 2008

The Lighthouse is looking for a highly motivated, creative and organised individual to be responsible for the development and delivery of an innovative and accessible outreach and events programme for a Wide range of target audiences. You Will be responsible for engaging and involvrng learners in architecture and the burlt envrronment through the development of cutting edge programmes and resources

The National Programme is a series of actrvrties, events, initiatives and publications informed by key aims and aspirations of the Scottish Executive’s Policy on Architecture. The programmers commitment to increasing interest in architecture and to enable wider accessibility to built envrronment issues in Scotland.

You Will have relevant qualifications to degree level and a sound knowledge of current issues wrthin architecture, education and outreach. You should have three years relevant experience within the education/arts sector.

The following positions have arisen on a fixed term or secondment basis until 31st March 2008.

Working as part of our Arts and Mental Health Team, you will help deliver ArtFull, a joint national Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Executive arts, mental health and well-being initiative.

NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

£21379 to £26010 per annum

You will be responsible for promoting awareness of the importance of the arts in improving mental health, increasing the capacity of arts organisations in the arts and mental health sector, and developing sustainable partnerships between local authorities and other organisations. We are looking f0r a person with substantial experience of working in the arts and mental health sect0r who has a track rec0rd of successful inter- agency and partnership working and the ability to develop and deliver training programmes.

PROGRAMME COORDINATOR

£14360 - £16830 per annum

You will coordinate team responsibilities to ensure the initiative's aims and objectives are met. We are looking for a person with strong team and project management skills to assist in organising a programme of seminars / training, provide administrative support to a small team, support the delivery of an open funding programme and manage the financial resources of the initiative.

For both posts knowledge of the arts and their relationship with mental health is desirable.
