28 APRIL–26 MAY YOU’VE GOT 29 DAYS TO LIVE! Not to do down the inordinately high level of ‘wow’-factor events that we list every issue, but Glasgow has excelled itself in May. If you’ve got a spare 24 hours, set it aside to watch Christian Marclay's Clock, a mind-boggling film composed entirely of movie clips of clock faces, impeccably edited, and paced so that every clock featured shows the actual time. Watch it at 4.15pm, you’ll get clocks showing 4.15pm. (See the British Art Show 7 feature, page 14). Before that, though, check in with Kronos Quartet performing Steve Reich's follow up to Different Trains, WTC 9/11.The composition will feature Reich’s trademark recorded voices, this time taken from the aftermath of ground zero (see feature, page 18). Both are guaranteed jaw-droppers. BRITISH ART SHOW The show returns to Glasgow for the first time in over 20 years we take a look at some of the line-up highlights.
