Good news if you’re a bit bored by radio just now. Music City Radio – the UK’s first ad-free, city-specific radio station – streams 24 hours a day, and uses Glasgow’s songwriters, musicians, record labels, and musical institutions (LuckyMe, Rock Action, Radio Magnetic and Stow College all do specialised shows) to help create the soundtrack to the city of Glasgow, one of only four UNESCO ‘Music Cities’ worldwide. Established and emerging artists sit side by side, as does twee folk-pop and glitchy electro.
