WE SAW YOU SPECIAL

What were the people of Edinburgh wearing on a June day? It wasn’t quite espadrilles and short-shorts weather instead The List found a comfy and anti try-hard mixture of sequins, tweed and corduroy . . .

My coat is from a Canadian shop, Jacob. The cardi was from Watermelon. This coat was from Armstrongs. The T-shirt, I guess you could say I have ‘long-term borrowed’ it from a friend.

My trousers are from Marks & Spencer, and the Vans are from Focus on the High Street. The dress is Primark and the bag and shoes are from Value Village in Toronto, it’s a bit like the Salvation Army.

My jacket used to be my mum’s, the top is from Armstrongs and my trousers are H&M. The shoes are from Millets. I buy most stuff from charity shops which probably explains why so much of it doesn’t fit.

The cardi is Armstrongs, and the jeans are Zara.

I like to be comfy, but feminine. Right now I’m loving Aztec and tribal patterns. And I photographed some Glasgow cowboys for my degree show, so I’m into Western style too. The top is H&M and the shoes are from Office. I got the bangle in Barcelona.

Embarrassingly everything is from Topshop! Apart from the necklace [not seen] a present from my brother. He got it in the Dominican Republic for my sweet 16th. Come back tomorrow and I’ll be wearing all my own Eleanor’s Riot designs!

HERMAN BROWN has long been a favourite of The List for its elegant range of second-hand clothing and accessories, so we were quite overjoyed to explore a new capsule collection under the name of HB Electronics. Inspired by ‘cheap rather than chic’, it channels ‘1980s package holidays, BHS and the stuff your Mum said was for trashy girls in the 90s’. Consider us firm fans. 151 West Port, Edinburgh, 228 2589, hermanbrown.co.uk
