SUPERSILENT, WITH JOHN PAUL JONES They’re Norwegian, they make big, avant-garde, rumbling drones that you could perhaps categorise as ‘deathjazzambientavantrock’, and they have just one rule: no rehearsals. Supersilent are teaming up with Led Zeppellin founder/multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones, whose ‘artier’ leanings have previously led to him performing mandolin in John Cage’s Musicircus at the Barbican, composing for choreographer Merce Cunningham’s Nearly Ninety and forming Them Crooked Vultures with Dave Grohl and Josh Homme.
