STREET BIZ BUZZ
llow good are you on stilts? A bit shaky? Well, Street Biz have just what you need; they've brought the Arts Play Umbrella back lor another summer tour oi the Strathclyde Region with tree children’s workshops and entertainments (see listings). Would-be big top troupers can spend mornings trying their hands (and legs) at a variety oi circus acts, trom stiltwalking and uni-cycling to acrobatics and juggling. During the afternoon sessions the young artists can relax in the Big Top and watch the prolessionals at work, including No Fit State Circus, a live strong crazy crew lrom Wales with a repertoire at music,

juggling and circus capers. Green Gingerspecialise in 2-manipulated puppets with wacky names; Kevin Grockle, Gaston le Gouache (described as ‘the thinking woman’s Roll Harris’!) and Nigel Side-Loader, a washing machine that must rate as an unusual hero even tor a sci-ti sterv. The Big Top should perhaps be renamed Big Tepee as The Medicine Show present their Red Indian legends and since no circus should be clownless, Richard Cuming will be tooling around with brooms which become perlorming dogs and a clarinet that lalls apart.
